Currently, Jason Coberly has over 20 years of experience as an attorney with the law firm of Soden & Steinberger, APLC.
His specialties are litigation, real estate, employment, and business law. Highlights in his career include litigating a partnership dispute, with a settlement valued at over $30 million for the clients, having a published case, La Jolla Cove Motel and Hotel Apartments, Inc. v. Superior Court (2004) 121 Cal.App.4th 773, and obtaining a judgment worth almost $300,000.00 for a client in a real estate case. Jason Coberly also has experience with business disputes, wage and overtime claims, real estate transactions, including leases and evictions, and torts, including fraud, forgery, embezzlement, and negligence.
In 2003, Jason Coberly graduated from California Western School of Law in the top 10% of his class. He also served as Executive Editor of the school’s Law Review and on its Appellate Trial Team.
Recent Experience
Recently, Jason has negotiated lease disputes; litigated contractual disputes between businesses, including commercial leases, purchase agreements, and franchise agreements; litigated disputes with home improvement contractors; arbitrated asset purchase agreements; and defended businesses against employee wage and hour lawsuits and disability access lawsuits. Jason has also recently drafted settlement agreements, reviewed lease and franchise agreements, and assisted clients with business transactions. Admitted to the California bar December 2, 2003.
